Bodywork and the Nervous System

Connect with your body. Notice where you hold tension and discomfort. Give your self the gift of being with your body in a therapeutic session. Allow the body time to process and relax. My work is trauma-informed. This means your comfort, your pace, and your boundaries shape every session. This work pairs well with the care of a physician, therapist, or mental health provider. Healing is rarely one-dimensional, and I'm glad to be part of whatever support team is helping you get there.

This is for the person who is tired in ways that sleep doesn't touch. Who functions well by most measures and still feels perpetually braced — waiting for something, managing something, never quite at home in their own body. Who maybe has always felt that way, and assumed that was just how it is.This could be how your nervous system learned to function. It isn't broken. It learned. It adapted — to stress, to uncertainty, to everything you've carried. These learned responses were once solutions. They kept you functioning. They kept you safe. The work here isn't about fixing you. It's about giving your system enough safety and stillness that it can begin to remember there's another way to be.Through CranioSacral Therapy — and therapeutic massage that works toward the same goal — we work from two directions toward one thing: a body and mind that feel genuinely at ease, maybe for the first time in a long time.

CranioSacral Therapy

The body has a subtle rhythm — quieter than your heartbeat, slower than your heartbeat — called the CranioSacral rhythm. It pulses through the fluid and membranes surrounding your brain and spinal cord, and it has a lot to say about your health.Using a light, gentle touch, I listen to that rhythm throughout your body. Where it's flowing freely, things are well. Where it's restricted or absent, that's often where the real story is — the underlying source of tension or dysfunction, not just the symptom. For many people, especially those whose nervous systems work hard every day, that story is one of chronic stress and dysregulation. If you're someone who is highly capable and motivated but finds that your nervous system often has other plans — the fatigue, the overwhelm, the difficulty winding down — this work may offer something you haven't found elsewhere. Not a fix, but a reset. A chance for your system to remember what settled feels like.Sessions are deeply relaxing. You remain fully clothed, and the touch is so light it's often described as the weight of a nickel. Many people find themselves in a state between waking and sleep — that's your nervous system becoming more peaceful.CranioSacral Therapy can support a wide range of concerns: chronic stress, anxiety, headaches, sleep difficulties, sensory overwhelm, and tension held deep in the body. When someone asks me what it's good for, I find myself saying — quite a lot, actually. What's been bothering you?

Massage Therapy

Some bodies have been through a lot. This work is built for that.
Therapeutic massage here is not a predetermined routine. Sessions are typically focused rather than full-body, because real change happens when we stay with what needs attention rather than moving through a checklist.
My work is trauma-informed. That means your comfort, your pace, and your boundaries shape every session — not the other way around. You are in control of pressure, touch, and what we work on. Nothing happens without your awareness and consent. If something doesn't feel right, we adjust. Always.
This kind of work can support chronic muscle tension, pain, postural strain, stress held in the body, and recovery from injury or difficult life experiences.

Abdominal Visceral Manipulation (add-on)

The abdomen is often overlooked in bodywork, but it holds a surprising amount of tension — in the muscles, the fascia, and the organs themselves. Abdominal massage works with the soft tissues of the belly to release holding patterns, improve circulation, and support digestive comfort.Visceral Manipulation goes a layer deeper, using gentle, precise techniques to address the mobility of the organs and the connective tissue that surrounds them. Restrictions here can contribute to back pain, postural issues, digestive discomfort, and more.
